Halcyon Africa Agriculture and Food Security Accelerator 2027

Halcyon runs this accelerator for founders based in Sub-Saharan Africa who are building market-based ventures that strengthen agriculture and food systems, with a focus on smallholder farmers and food-insecure communities. Eligible ventures already have a working product, paid pilots or revenue, and are led by a CEO or co-founder with full-time commitment to the business.

Selected ventures receive access to Halcyon's global community of founders, professional advisors and workshops on leadership, capital strategy and product-market fit, along with a $10,000 equity-free stipend per venture. The programme includes in-person residencies, with one planned in Ghana and another in Kenya, alongside virtual sessions and pitch days.

Halcyon scores applications on impact, scalability, innovation and talent, giving particular weight to ventures addressing food security, farm productivity, agricultural finance, supply chains or post-harvest loss, especially those helping communities adapt to climate-related shocks.

The initial deadline for consideration is 23 October 2026, after which shortlisted applicants are invited to complete a second, invitational application ahead of pitch days and final selection.
