Women in Agriculture Leadership Program Fellowship, Second Cohort 2026

African Women in Agricultural Research and Development (AWARD) is inviting applications for the second cohort of its Women in Agriculture Leadership Program Fellowship. The call opened on 11 September 2026 and is aimed at experienced women who want to lead in agriculture and climate-related work.

Who can apply

Applicants must come from Egypt, Morocco, Ghana, Nigeria, Sierra Leone or Senegal. Candidates from any other country cannot apply to this call. It is designed for working professionals, and applicants need at least 7 years of work experience.

What it offers

The fellowship lasts 24 months and centres on leadership in agriculture, environment and climate. The call does not mention a stipend, salary or cash award, so do not count on any payment unless the official AWARD page confirms one. Its value is the leadership programme itself rather than money.

Applications are submitted online only. There is one form for English-speaking candidates and a separate one for French-speaking candidates, so choose the language you write in most confidently.
