A three-year paid traineeship with FrieslandCampina rotating through the Netherlands and Malaysia, open to graduates of all nationalities in business, economics or IT.
The Global Traineeship at FrieslandCampina is a structured entry route into one of the largest dairy companies in the world. It is a paid role rather than a study placement, and trainees rotate through assignments in the Netherlands and Malaysia over the course of the programme.
Who can apply
Applications are open to graduates of all nationalities at undergraduate level. The disciplines targeted are business and management, economics, and computer science and IT, which reflects where the rotations sit: supply chain, commercial functions and digital roles rather than laboratory research. Fluent English is required for all disciplines; Dutch is not a precondition, which is what makes the programme genuinely open to African graduates.
What the programme involves
The traineeship runs for thirty-six months. That length is the point of the scheme: it is long enough to move through several functions and countries rather than to sit in one team, and the company treats it as a leadership pipeline rather than an internship. Placement across the Netherlands and Malaysia means candidates should expect international relocation as a normal part of the programme, not an optional extra.
Deadline and timing
Applications will be open from September 1st until September 30th 2026, and the cohort starts on 1 March 2027. The window is exactly one month wide, which is short by graduate-scheme standards, so the CV and motivation need to be ready before the window opens rather than drafted inside it.
Before you apply
Decide which function you are aiming at and make the application argue for it specifically. A generalist application to a rotational programme reads as indecision; naming the track and showing why your degree and any work experience point there is what moves a file forward.
