FAWEZA-Mastercard Foundation TEVET Bursary in Zambia 2026/2027

FAWEZA, the Forum for African Women Educationalists of Zambia, is running this bursary with the Mastercard Foundation to help young Zambians access STEM education. The programme reserves the majority of places for young women, with a smaller share for young men, and prioritises applicants pursuing courses in science, technology, engineering and mathematics at partner Technical and Vocational Education and Training institutions.

Partner institutions include colleges specialising in business, engineering, nursing and midwifery, agriculture and teacher education, located in districts such as Chipata, Lusaka, Livingstone, Kasama, Mongu, Serenje, Mansa, Kasempa and Ndola. Applicants must have completed their secondary education to Ordinary Level, hold an acceptance letter for a STEM-related course at one of the partner institutions, and must not already be receiving another bursary. FAWEZA particularly encourages applications from orphans, refugees, people with disabilities and young people affected by HIV/AIDS, who can also apply if slightly older than the general age limit.

Up to 200 bursaries are available in this cohort. Candidates should be no older than 25 at the time of enrolment. To apply, download the application form from FAWEZA's website, complete it, and attach certified copies of your secondary school results and a National Registration Card, Refugee Certificate or Disability Card, two passport photos, a recommendation letter, and a motivational letter describing your career goals and community involvement. Applications close on 30 October 2026 at 17:00.
