UNU-MERIT Migration Management Diploma Training Programme 2026

Who can apply?

UNU-MERIT’s training programme is open to professionals from any field in Algeria, Egypt, Libya, Morocco, Tunisia, Angola, Benin, Botswana, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cabo Verde, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad, Comoros, Congo, Côte d'Ivoire, DR Congo, Djibouti, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Eswatini, Ethiopia, Gabon, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Kenya, Lesotho, Liberia, Madagascar, Mali, Mauritania, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Niger, Nigeria, Malawi, Rwanda, São Tomé and Príncipe, Senegal, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, Somalia, South Africa, South Sudan, Sudan, Tanzania, Gambia, Togo, Uganda, Zambia, Zimbabwe, or India. The training takes place in the Netherlands and is not remote.

What does the funding cover?

The scholarship covers all expenses for the duration of the training, including flights, accommodation, visa fees, meals, daily living expenses, health insurance, and field trip costs.

When is the deadline and how does the timeline run?

Applications close on 1 October 2026 at 23:59 CEST. The three-month training runs from 5 April 2027 to 24 June 2027.
