AIAS Visiting Fellowships 2027: Unsalaried Research Visits in Denmark

The Aarhus Institute of Advanced Studies (AIAS) in Denmark offers visiting fellowships to researchers who want to spend a period working at the institute. This call is for fellowships in spring 2027. The most important point comes first: the fellowship pays no salary.

Who can apply

The call is open to researchers of all nationalities, so applicants from African countries can apply on the same terms as everyone else. It is aimed at postdoctoral researchers with at least four years of experience. AIAS accepts applications from any academic field.

Salary and funding

AIAS Visiting Fellowships are without salary. The institute expects successful applicants to bring their salary with them from their home institution. In practice, you should only apply if your university or employer will keep paying you while you are away. The fellowship is held in person in Denmark and cannot be done remotely.
