IAIFI Postdoctoral Fellowship 2027-2030 at MIT

The NSF Institute for Artificial Intelligence and Fundamental Interactions (IAIFI) is hiring postdoctoral fellows for the 2027-2030 cycle. Each appointment lasts 36 months in the United States, and fellows are employed by MIT. The call is open to every nationality, so researchers from African countries are eligible.

Who can apply

This is a fellowship for postdocs working in the natural sciences, computer science or mathematics. Candidates from outside the United States are welcome. English is required: according to the institute, English proficiency is needed to obtain a J-1 visa and therefore to be employed by MIT if you come from outside the United States. The position is not remote, so plan to relocate for the full term.

What it offers

Fellows receive a salary. The institute says the amount changes each year and is currently around 15% higher than the minimum postdoc salary at MIT. The work takes place at an institute built around the meeting point of artificial intelligence and fundamental interactions.
